About
The Telangana Tribal Open Knowledge Conference aims to unite stakeholders, experts, and community members to champion the conservation and rejuvenation of indigenous languages and cultures, with a particular emphasis on Telugu, Adilabadi Gondi, Lambadi, and Southeastern Kolami languages. The conference will delve into strategies to harness technology, open knowledge, and digital platforms to empower tribal communities, foster economic opportunities, and facilitate global access to knowledge, all while safeguarding linguistic diversity. In partnership with the Wikimedia Foundation, the conference seeks to leverage the vast resources and collaborative platforms offered by Wikimedia projects to amplify the voices of tribal communities, preserve their linguistic and cultural heritage, and ensure their contributions to the world's knowledge ecosystem are recognized and accessible to all.
